The institution's problem
Running a paper-based assessment takes a lot of work: printing papers, invigilating, marking, entering scores. Listening needs equipment, and speaking is close to impossible at any scale. By the time scores arrive weeks have passed, and a single number says nothing about where a learner is weak.
How TNC Academy solves it
All four skills covered
Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing on one system. Speaking is recorded directly on the platform, with no need to interview candidates one by one.
Real exam format
Papers are presented in standard exam format, under time, with drafts saved automatically, a warning before time runs out and automatic submission at the end.
Results broken down by section
Not just a total. The institution sees which skills are strong or weak, and tracks progress across sittings.
Marking
Reading and Listening are scored as soon as the paper is submitted. Writing and Speaking are marked by a teacher and returned with comments.
Where it is used
Entrance assessment
Establishing levels before a course or a school year begins.
Placement
Grouping by level rather than by administrative class or department.
Regular testing
Measuring progress at intervals through a school year or a training programme.
Practice exams before a certificate sitting
Getting used to the format and to working under time.
