Five steps
Assessment
We run a level test on the testing platform, with results broken down by skill. Alongside it we sit down over the practical conditions: how many learners, the existing timetable, the devices available, and what the institution wants to achieve.
The assessment is what the pathway is built on, not a formality.
Pathway design
From the assessment results we propose the programme, the study load, how learners are grouped by level, and the progress checkpoints for the term.
The institution reviews and comments before anything is fixed. The pathway only goes ahead once both sides agree.
Handover and training
We issue accounts, load learner data and set up groups according to the agreed pathway. The institution only needs to supply a list in our template.
Training splits in two: administrators learn to follow progress and read the reports, and teachers learn to read learner results and work the platform content into their own class time.
Operation
Through the term, TNC Academy follows progress, runs the live online classes on the agreed schedule, and deals with technical problems as they come up.
Each institution has one named contact, not a call centre.
Reporting and adjustment
Regular reports go to the institution: lesson completion, results from the progress sittings, and any groups of learners that need attention.
If the results show the pathway is not right — too fast, too slow, or one skill falling behind — we propose an adjustment for the next stage.
Training
| Group | Details | Length |
|---|---|---|
| Administrators | Following progress, reading reports, managing learner lists | One session |
| Teachers | Reading learner results, working platform content into class time | One session |
| Learners | How to use the platform, with written and video guides | Opening session |
Training runs on site or online, whichever suits.
Support through the term
One named contact per institution, handling the everyday things: an account that will not log in, a learner changing class, learners added mid-term, a problem during a sitting.
During progress sittings and exams we stand by technically for the whole time candidates are working.
Infrastructure and data
The system runs on cloud infrastructure, so there are no servers to buy and no software to install. Learners use the devices they already have.
Learner data is held by TNC Academy, used to run the programme and not shared with third parties. When the partnership ends, the institution receives all of its learners' results data back.
