Program rationale

The curriculum is designed to move learners from CEFR A1 to B1 and beyond. It blends practical language development with targeted VSTEP preparation, using proven pedagogy and high-quality learning content.

Learning outcomes

By the end of the program, students will be able to:

  • Reach CEFR B1 or higher.
  • Communicate effectively in English across everyday and study-related situations.
  • Achieve VSTEP Level 3 (B1) or above.
  • Develop independent study habits and effective test-taking strategies.

Tracking & reporting

The program leverages advanced monitoring and reporting on the Reallyenglish platform to track learning in detail and provide clear, useful insights for students, teachers, and stakeholders.

VSTEP Training Pathway

A blended route combining classroom study with self-study on Reallyenglish:

  • Class time: 4 semesters × 18 weeks × 4.5 hrs/week + 2 summer terms × 4 weeks × 9 hrs/week = 396 hours.
  • Self-study: 4 semesters × avg. 5 hrs/week × 18 weeks + 2 summer terms × avg. 6 hrs/week × 4 weeks = 408 hours.
  • Total study time: ~804 hours (sufficient for steady progress from CEFR A1 to solid B1/B1+, with consistent effort).
