About the Business Speaking course

Business Speaking provides focused, effective practice across 30+ business contexts. Learners who study 2–3 hours per week over several months will see significant improvement in proficiency and international English test scores.

Learners are exposed to 600+ expressions in natural business contexts with interlocutors from six countries: the US, the UK, Canada, Australia, Singapore, and India.

The course content applies across a wide range of business fields, making it highly practical for real-world use.

An adaptive learning approach

Business Speaking includes practice in both formal and informal business situations. Learners develop vocabulary and key expressions through listening and speaking activities to communicate more confidently at work.

Each lesson ends with a role-play style assessment to check whether learners can use new language accurately and appropriately in context.

On completion, learners will have a significantly wider vocabulary and be able to use English effectively with customers and colleagues.

Business Speaking offers:

  • 180 short pronunciation drills aligned to lesson topics, with voice recording; focus on stress and intonation of key sentences and vocabulary.
  • 2,800 high-frequency business vocabulary items embedded in real commercial scenarios to build meaning and usage.
  • Primary focus on listening and speaking in each lesson through diverse workplace communication situations.
  • 600+ key expressions usable across multiple business contexts.
